Community Needs/Prayers Requessts/News
Needs:
We strive to help as many people as we can with the funds and resources available to us. Occasionally, a person or family will have a need that is too specific or costly for us to provide. When these needs are brought to our attention, we will list them here, in prayer that someone in the community can step forward and meet them. We will always list these requests anonymously, out of respect for the dignity of those in need.
Prayers:
- For Sister Lucille Fournier who is recovering from knee surgery. She is at D'Youville and I'm sure she would love your cards and good wishes.
- For Dick Meservier who is recovering from heart surgery.
- For the earthquake victims in Haiti and Chili.
- For Irene Boisvert's family. Her sister, Blanche Wright, passed away from a massive stroke about 10 days ago
.

News:
Rose McCloskey and I spent a wonderful hour with Gilberte Bechard on Friday, February 19 at the Heritage Nursing Home in Winthrop. We had been wanting to do this for at least some three years. Gil was happy to see us. "What a surprise!" she kept saying. We were so very happy too. It is so nice to listen to her say how blessed she is, how grateful and loving she is to everyone who cares for her, family, friends, and staff, in the midst of the refrain: "What a surprise today. You made my day. I thought for a minute I was dreaming". What a joy it was also for us to hear all this! Gil sends her love to everyone, for whom she prays and asks for continued prayers for her as well. She may be forgetting a few things, but she sure has not forgotten Catherine's Flock on Sunday. She is also convinced that Bob is looking after her. "God is so good" was another refrain.
May we all remember during this lenten season that, indeed, we are all truly blessed in God's goodness to us. Let us be grateful as well.
Sister Lucille Fournier
