Breakfast at Applebee's
Join us for a fundraising pancake breakfast at Applebee’s on Center St., Auburn on Sunday, March 28 from 8:00 am to 9:30am. $5 tickets are available by calling Monique Schreiber at 755-5255 or by calling the Dominican Convent at 375-8399. As usual, volunteers are needed.
300 Membership Drive:
300-Membership Drive for 2010 is over. Thanks to those who helped us find new members to keep our total at 300! We should strive to have a waiting list ready for next year, if possible. Please give the names of interested parties who were not able to get in this year, either to Irene Boisvert [email protected] or Sister Lucille [email protected]. Thank you.
Food Pantry Seeking Donations to Match $750 Grant!
The Good-Shepherd Food-Bank sent a letter committing to match for the Food Pantry the sum of $750.00. The Funds may be raised between January 1st and April 30th. These funds are to be raised separately and specifically for this challenge. through jars placed at local businesses.
Recently, we reached our goal of $750.00 for the matching grant thanks to the willingness of local businesses to put collection jars on their counters. A group of fourteen 7 to 9 year-old Brownies helped the cause as well.
We are grateful to their leaders for the support and we thank them all for paying a visit to our food pantry and bazaar/garage sale areas, with the intent of finding ways to help the cause on a regular basis in the future.
Future fundraisers include a raffle/luncheon in May. Stay tuned for more information.
